Wow so much stuff to talk about.


So I have been working on this project all week. A little here and a little there. Mainly chasing bugs!

I did do two major updates, first there is a new client. Instead of your hps and mana being shown as text constantly, I built in bars into the client. There is three bars, red is health, blue is mana, and purple is hunger, and hp bar will turn green while resting. You can do “stats” to get the text form if you want the real info, or bring up your character sheet. The second big thing started work on the combat system, lots of fucking bugs in this bitch(Hey it was the first part of the project). I did fix the issue where mobs always rolled 1’s in combat. So now they hit ya, but they are also mimicking your damage. And with the damage bug hell that can either mean they hit real low or real high.

I have been working on other small things here and there and tweaks in things. But tomorrow my plan is sit down and figure out this equipment bug. I’m really debating on just rewriting the whole combat system. But that can take a couple weeks, there is a lot to do during combat…you be surprised how many things have to be checked before anyone can just engage, let alone make a swing. Shit after you hit something there is so many If statements just to see if you can do damage.

Also thank David, if he didn’t show interest again I was gonna let the domain go and drop the project. But with his enthusiasm and promotion we have had quite a few new players and even a new steady player.
